MUSEUM STRUCTURE
The Department of History is located in the building of the former Museum of the East Siberian Department of the Russian Geographical Society, built in 1883 according to the project of the engineer-architect G.V. Rosen in the Moorish style. The building itself has become a monument to the famous explorers of Asia, whose names are carved on its frieze. - Go to website
The museum studio was opened on October 3, 2005. One of the important tasks of the studio is to show the collections of the Irkutsk Regional Museum of Local Lore in the halls seminars, scientific and practical conferences are held. The museum complex is located in the recreated historical quarter of the capital of Eastern Siberia, Irkutsk Sloboda.

The Department of Nature is located in a two-story building on the street. Karl Marx, 11, which is an architectural monument. There are rich paleontological, geological and zoological collections. The icebreaker "Angara" has an exposition on the history of shipping on Lake Baikal.
